Tony Sutherland is a driving instructor in Co. Dublin who has 27 years experience in the driving school business. Tony’s driving lessons are tailor made to suit each individual and their particular needs.

Tony is a great instructor, he is always aware and ready for any situation you may encounter on the road, his years of experience are obvious in that he manages to teach while maintaining a calm and considerate manner. If anyone can teach me how to drive its Tony.

Tony is a wonderful instructor, although Ive only had 4 lessons with him so far, i feel like Ive learned a lot, He see’s everything and comments on how to improve it immediately
He also taught my sister (She recommended him to me) and she passed her test on the first try.

What can I say except Tony is a legend. Passed the test 1st time. Brilliant teacher, extremely funny and very relaxed.everything he says sticks in your head. 10/10
After 8 years of self taught driving (bad driving at that) tony has helped me lose my bad habits and actually observe what’s going on around me, had great Craic with him for all of my lessons, felt so comfortable and very at ease, top bloke and top teacher couldn’t recommend him enough ! So happy I passed my test can’t thank him enough turns out I’m not a lost cause :))))
Well what can I say other than Tony simply is the best! 4 weeks ago I didn’t even know what first gear was and today, just 7 lessons later, I’m a full licensed driver, thanks to Tony. I’d driven automatic cars before, but I’ve also been on the bumper cars in Funderland, and to be honest there’s not much of a difference! The whole concept of a clutch and gears always seemed daunting to me, and quite pointless if I’m honest. On my first lesson I informed Tony of this and he immediately set my mind at ease telling me it’s not as challenging as I thought, and he was right. Then I told him my test was in just 4 weeks, I’m still not fully convinced he’s finished picking his jaw up off the floor he was so shocked, but again he simply told me, “You’re not failing your test!”, and thankfully again, he was right. But it’s not just Tonys driving skills that sets him apart from the rest, it’s his ability to immediately make you feel like you’ve known him for years in seconds. I will not hesitate for a second to recommend Tony to anyone thinking of learning to drive, or alternatively anyone suffering from depression, he’s a great laugh 🙂 Seriously though, he’s an incredible instructor, and I’m delighted to have learnt from the best in the business. So thanks, Tony – You da bomb dawwwwwwg!!
Passed my driving test 1st time with Tony, did all 12 EDT lessons with him, everything! He’s not only an amazing instructor but he’s like a friend, you always have a good chat, he teaches calmly and at ease and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

I was a complete beginner when I came to Tony, and couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Precise and brilliant at explaining, absolutely nothing gets passed his watchful eye. He addressed and corrected mistakes before I even realised I was making them. Not only is he a truly brilliant teacher but he’s also incredibly friendly and very funny, made me feel really comfortable and made the whole experience enjoyable rather than being daunting. Could not recommend Tony highly enough!
Tony is an amazing driving instructor!! Not only did he put me at ease but gave me the confidence to drive. I did 11 lessons and 2 pre tests having never driven before and PASSED MY TEST!!! All down to Tonys teaching ability! He is honestly the best. Tony thank you sooooo much. I am going to miss you and the laughs. Best of luck to all who want to do their driving test…. but if you want to pass Tony is the man to get you there!!
